Question for Sherlockians?

Who is considered the most important Sherlock Holmes illustrator? I used to believe that it is Sidney Paget but that was before I know Frederic Dorr Steele. Who succeeded in illustrating the most definitive Sherlock Holmes? Thanks for helping.
