I have a full uk car manual driving lisence. im taking my CBT next week for upto 125cc. if i pass it, how long will this cbt certificate last is it two years or for as long as I have my car driving liscence?

My MacBook Pro is being uncooperative... Help?

I have a brand-new MacBook pro and some of the keys are malfunctioning. Double-functioning, really. The tab key and the key above it both produce "(tab) 'x" , the z and delete keys pull up my dashboard, the c key produces a c and some stacked-s-looking symbol, the v and b keys produce the corresponding letters with brackets ("v] and [b", n makes "n=" and m makes "m' ". For a bit, the keys stopped doing it (a minute or so) and they've been doing it ever since. I've tried resetting all the system preferences, restarting it out, etc. Can anyone help???

If I kill the electricity to my gas oven, will I have a gas leak?

My gas oven is a Maytag CHG9800aab and the electronic display will flash F-1 and beep. I've heard that this is due to a malfunction in the computer motherboard of the display. So I have gone to the electrical panel and killed the power to my oven. Only since it is gas, does killing the power to it disrupt the gas in any way? Last thing I need is a leak.

Trouble codes P0440 and P0410?

2001 Chevy blazer 4.3 automatic. i have trouble codes p0440 (evap malfunction) tied in with p0410 (2ndary air malfunction). I replaced the air pump and new hose assembly. Light came back on with same two codes. (The pump sucks in air and works fine). I think I may have found the problem. I traced it to the 2 air check valves that lead into the manifold. If these are stuck open and/or detiorating, the evap system isn't achieving enough vacuum during it's test so the pressure drops and sets the p0440. Does this make sense to anybody or am i off base?

Car FOB malfunctioning again?

A few weeks ago I asked a question about my car FOB not working. Once in a while it would not unlock the car with the FOB and when I used the key, it wouldn't let the car turn on and the car would start beeping very loudly. A few days after I asked the question on here, the battery died. Thinking it was an electrical issue draining something somewhere, I took it to the dealer since my car is still under warranty. It's a 2008 Hyundai Accent. They told me all it needed was a new battery, so I bought one and everything worked perfectly. The FOB worked, the car turned on, etc. About two days ago, the FOB issue started up again. I immediately stopped using the FOB so that it wouldn't set the alarm. I took the car back to the dealership and they tested the FOB several times and it worked. I told them that sometimes it doesn't work and I can't start my car and I don't want to be stranded. They have pretty much told me that unless it's currently not working while it's in their possession, they can't do anything to help me. I don't want to take my car home and then be stranded somewhere in the middle of the city! My car is under warranty so I am not sure if I can take it to a random electrical mechanic. What do I do? I can't believe they're just basically telling me "sorry about your luck"!

I took a small online class, got the basics of Medical Coding. I can pretty much code ALMOST anything, but sometimes it gets complicated. Anyway, I was wondering if its important to know all of the billing information from the textbook and all the acts, and also if terminology is a must. Flute Care?????????????

I just recently bought a yamaha flute for my marching band at school. I've never owned a flute before, I just rented from my school. Now my question is, on the manual thing, it says not to put the cleaning cloth and polishing cloth on top of the flute when its in its case because the cloths can cause unecessary pressure to the keys and damage them. So basically, the only thing that should go in the case is the flute and the stick thing. So my question: Where are you suppose to put the cloths then? Thanks.

I'm 18 years old with asperger's syndrome. I have never had a girlfriend in my life, I've had a really crap life in high school, and I've failed my 3D course in TAFE and I will be banned from going out for the rest of the year if I fail my course. Power drain on my digital camera?

I have a Sony DSC-H5 digital camera (5 years old, but in mint condition). It was designed more like an SLR type camera than a compact box-type camera, and is full featured, especially with a large 3 inch viewing screen on the back. The problem I've always had with this camera is the large power drain on the NIMH "AA" batteries...there are only TWO running the camera! These batteries will drain completely in approx. 10 minutes of use, or much less if you take a few flash pictures, or move the zoom lens in and out which uses extra power, etc. I have used different brands of 2500 mah "AA" batteries, but they all drain out equally fast. Would switching to a 3000 mah battery give me more useful useage time? OR...is this camera really malfunctioning internally by using up so much battery power? The camera came this way new. This model was soon replaced by a similar Sony model camera which used a DIFFERENT battery setup altogether, so obviously, the original setup was no good. Any ideas or input on how to extend battery life without costly repair will be appreciated. Thanx!

Nissan Sentra Plug on Bottom of Engine?

I have a 2000 Nissan Sentra with a 1.8L I4 and a manual 5-speed. There is a plug for what looks to be some kind of sensor on the very bottom of the engine. It has broken off (likely by running over something) and is dangling there. The check engine light is on, but I don't know what to call this part to even try to get a replacement. I don't think this is the crankshaft position sensor. It's in the wrong place.

LED pool lamp problem?

Bought a LED pool lamp to replace the standard lamp in my inground pool. It was supposed to last over 10,000 hrs and doesn't even have half of that on it, and its malfunctioning. Has several functions. Everytime you flip the switch, it goes to another color, fade effect,flashing effect, etc. Now its stuck on a neutral color, (white, I guess) The thing costs nearly $400 bucks. when i replaced the air pump and the new GM hose assembly on my 2001 chevy blazer 4.3 automatic a couple of weeks ago, the fault codes P0410 (2ndary air injection malfunction) and P0440 (evap sys. malfunction) CAME back up. the air pump works at cold start up just like its supposed to, so i dont know why that code came back up. for the p0440 code, i replaced the gas cap and the purge solenoid but no luck i guess. (advance auto parts said p0440 was tied in with p0410 so i dont know if that will help anybody) im beginning to realize that the pcm/ecm may be on its way out. (the pcm/ecm commands these systems on) on another topic, the a.b.s. and brake lights illuminated twice at start up and went off twice at start up. the brakes work just fine so i dont know why these lights came on. do all signs point to a failing pcm/ecm? please give me honest answers (dont tell me what the codes mean b/c i know what they mean)

Does not matter what time of year, I tried walking to school in a t-shirt (10 minute casual relaxed walk) when it was 10 degrees celcius outside, and by the time I got to school every part of my body not covered by clothing was frozen but my armpits were starting to sweat anyway. I can be totally relaxed while siting, although as soon as I start writing with one hand, that particular hand's arm pit becomes sweaty. Once I start sweating a little bit it takes at least 40 minutes for drops of sweat to stop coming out through the pores completely. During summer I wear sandals and shorts, a constant wind either dries off the sweat right away leaving no wetness or odor or keeps me cool enough not to sweat much. I drink at least 5 small waterbottles per day and take drinks of water when ever I can. I have vigorous physical activity (work out, running for 3-4 hours, judo, skiing) at least 4 times a week. During those times I sweat non stop, and I drink a lot of water before excersize. I never eat junk food because it drains my energy and thinks like a pack of chips results in some ache. When my back sweats and I am wearing a backpack or am sitting in class leaning on a chair I get some ache on my back too, in the areas where anything that touches my clothes. I am guessing in those areas my pores get blocked by what ever substances there are (Even though I take a warm/cold shower every morning). I wear clean clothes every single time, mostly because after a day my t-shirt and anything over it is 30% drenched in sweat. I do not mind sweating and I love sweating during physical exersize, but on times when I need to be in class, in a restaurant, on a date, a walk in the park, I am tired of having big wet stains in my arm pits. When I exersize often the smell dissapears but the wet stains are still there. I used to think this is some sort of nervous system malfunction more than anything else - until i did many experiments and saw that in a very relaxed state I can start swearing as long as I make my muscles work. Just sitting in a chair and leaning my head on my arm may trigger arm pit sweating. I can feel drops of sweat drip down the side of my body a few minutes into gently leaning on my arm (which is placed on a table). After a shower in the morning, I can go to a certain point in the day just fine. At that point (can be at any time of the day) if i start sweating a few drops, even if it stops, the chance of sweating exessivly again for any slightest movement such as walking greatly increases. Please doctor, instead of telling me about prescriptions, anti antiperspirants and surgery, can you recommend some ways I can: make sure that my thyroid gland is not malfunctioning, how to improve my nervous system, what supplements (such as zink and vitamin C) should intake to prevent triggering sweating easily, and in what quantities? PS: I came out of the shower before I started writing this message; my arms are resting on my table only my fingers are moving to type, I seem as calm and as relaxed/care free as I ever was, yet in these 5 minutes my armpits are already wet; no drops of sweat are dripping but the whole armpit area is wet enough to leave a clear stain on a paper towel. Did advance Auto break My car?

ok. My car was cranking slow in the mornings. so i drove up to advance and had them do a load test on the battery. ever since they did that now it wont start. it wont crank. the starter wont even click. it has enough power to run the headlights and blast the horn and light up everything inside but it will not even try to crank. i put a new battery in it just to make sure. still nothing. it's a manual so we tried push starting it. i Pulled it with my jeep about 15 mph and had My friend engage the clutch and even at that speed it still would not fire. We dragged it 100 yards. popping the clutch along the way. it wouldn't even sputter. i checked the fuses. they are all good. i looked at the harness. No problem. is it just a coincidence this happened after the people at advanced load tested it? or is it likely that they screwed it up? what could they have possibly done that would cause such a problem? i didn't think those machines that do the load test would let you do it wrong. i thought that if it was hooked up wrong it wouldn't run the test. is that correct? i checked the fuses. its getting fuel. it's got plenty of juice in the battery. i can't think of anything else that could make that starter not engage. or not even allow it to fire during a push start. the whole thing is just dead. did advance break it? or is this just coincidence? i ask because i can't think of anything they could have done on a load test that could have done this. can you? oh its a 96 Plymouth Breeze in case your were wondering. nothing fancy. just an old pile of junk. :-)

How do I fix my ipod nano?

My nano is a 3rd generation, works great. I use it with an imac. I just got a thinkpad t420 and hooked my ipod to it, but nothing happened. there was nowhere to eject it, so I was forced to just pull out the cord. All of my music was erased from the ipod (which doesn't matter cause I have it all on my mac and nothing is lost). I know in the manual it says you can't switch the ipod from mac to pc without it erasing your files. My problem is that now when I plug my ipod back into the mac, it won't show up in itunes. and my ipod says "0 KB used, 0 KB free." What does that mean? Dishwasher Malfunction?

I have a three year old Magic Chef dishwasher. About once a week (or every third time trying to use it), it goes nutty. Nothing happens when you hit the buttons - doesn't start. It gets power just fine because the "delay wash" lights will light up - in fact, they will light up and flash, but then that's it - they shut right back off. This will go on for a couple of days, and then out of the blue, when I push the "start" button again, it will run - with me having done nothing to the actual dishwasher. Any ideas? Nothing in the troubleshooting portion of the manual at all. In fact, that manual was worthless.

Can I use any kind 20W50 motor oil in my motorcycle, even if its not specified as motorcycle oil?

I purchased several bottles of Castrol 20W50 High Mileage Synthetic oil for my motorcycle, and then the next day I saw the section for just motorcycle oils, and was wondering if it really mattered. The manual says to use 20w50 oil w/ detergent, and this Castrol high Mileage stuff meets the criteria, but I guess technically it is a automobile lubricant. Eyesight: strange visions?

OK so, ever since I can remember me being a child, I think I can remember as far as age 7 or so. Anyway so every now and then when it is fairly bright outside when I look at something for about 4-5 seconds without blinking this odd, tunnel like vision starts appearing. It looks like these dark blobs, kinda tightly packed together start moving toward whatever it is I am looking at in a cone/tunnel kind of way. Now this vision takes about 20% of my visual range so it doesn't really get in the way or anything. It moves faster and faster towards the object in sight, until i cant take it anymore and blink or look away cause my eyes get too dry. It is never bothersome, sometimes I even intentionally stare for as long as I can to see maybe if the tunnel moves fast enough I'll get x-ray vision or something. Guess the question is: has anyone ever experienced this, is it common? Is it a sign of some terrible eye malfunction like glaucoma or something? Or do I have some super vision power and can eventually shoot lasers out my eyes ~_~

Okay I need major help? Sims 3 and computer problems?

Okay so, I LOVE to play the Sims 3. And I've been majorly mad for the longest time, because I bought the Sims 3 the day it came out and when it came I was so excited and I put it on my Dell Windows Vista computer, and for a while it worked GREAT! But then in the middle of the game it would all of a sudden freeze. I thought it was nothing for a while and just started playing again. But then it started to like.. I don't know how to explain it? Like it would freeze and then all of a sudden the screen would go black. Like just blank. Then the Sims would pop back up, but MUCH less bright. It was really dim and all that jazz. Then, it would do it repeatedly like 5 minutes after the last one, and then it just shuts my computer off? Like it makes it restart and everything? So I want to know whats wrong and how to fix it? Because I haven't been able to play it in forever without it messing my computer up. Oh also when the computer comes back on the icons or whatever will be like HUGE! Also this never happens with any of my other games, like Chocolatier 2 or anything like that, I can play for hours on those and my computer is fine. Also it doesn't malfunction at other times. Recently, I found out that one of my favorite singers had lost her memory. Record says this had happened three other times but she only lost her memory of a few days prior, but this time, she lost three years worth of memory, which is when her music career began. Her boyfriend got on camera that she kept saying, "I wanna make a rainbow." When he asked her how old she was she said "Four fingers." even though she's about nineteen. During the video, she began to shake, though her eyes did roll and it seemed as if she were having a minor seizure. I worried that these could lead to Grand Mal Seizures and that she could lose her life because her boyfriend is tight on money and can't afford a medical bill, and he family is not aware of this, as they live in Canada instead of the United States, where she is currently with her boyfriend. He said that when she first woke up she didn't know who he was and thought he kidnapped her and attempted to injure him and that she also didn't realize who she was. Are these early signs of possibly a tumor or cancer in the part of the brain that stores memory? I don't know if this is fake or not, but if it is, it's a fake and sick prank. So, is any of this a symptom of brain malfunction or a strange type of disease?

P0700 2005 DODGE DURANGO?

got into my durango last week to go to work started fine reversed fine. Then I put it into drive and in 1st gear the engine was wailing/racing with a loud noise but the rpms were at 1,500. It shifted into 2nd fine and drove great for the rest of the day. Even when I would start out in 1st gear again it was fine. Then yesturday the same thing happened in the morning and again it was fine after it shifted into second. When I got into my car after work the Malfunction Indicator Light"Check Engine Light" came on. I did the key trick to check the code and it was P0700. I know what the code is. I know its telling me that something is wrong in the Trans or TCM. I'm going to the dealer in 2 days because I'm working but the Durango is sitting at home while I drive the van to work. But my question is what part or sensor is broke or in need of repair. I'm not a big car guy so help needed!

1000 dollar vacuum broke and we can't return it ? Any advice ?

So my parents on the advice of my aunt, bought a central vacuum, one for a thousand dollars. I used the vacuum 3 times and then the main vacuum ended up burning out . The vacuum guy came over and said that we have too many wool rugs and that we can't use the vacuum because of the amount of rugs we have. I wanted to check up on the bill I received from my electrician today. The work included a fault find for an open neutral inside (bulbs kept blowing out in a fixture). He found neutral wires not connected in a wall switch and fixed it. An outlet outside also stopped working, and he found the wires leading between two exterior outlets were damaged. He pulled the damaged wire leading between the two outlets and replaced it with new wire (about a 25 foot run). Problem fixed. He then removed an old, malfunctioning porch light and installed a new motion light on our porch. The final bill was $1,000 and he was here for about 5 hours. Is this reasonable for the work done and time spent?

First Time Photography Camera?

I have a Coolpix L110. It's supposed to be a really good beginner's camera! I just became involved with photography last year, and I love it! It gets really clear, crisp pictures, and it's about $250! :) The only thing I would say that I don't like about it, is that it doesn't have an eye hole! Those are good for up close pictures. :/ Also, my camera's a Nikon. I think Canon's are better, but they are also more expensive. Hope I helped! :)

1997 Saturn Sc2 high pressure cam cover oil leak!?

I have a 1997 Saturn Sc2 with a 1.9 ltr dual overhead cam engine. When I bought the vehicle, it came with a nasty overused cam cover gasket and was leaking oil through the gasket, so we thought that the gasket was the cause. We then replaced the gasket but even then oil still continued to seep under the cover. We figured this must be a result of high pressure under the cam cover. We proceeded to lift the PCV valve to find the cam cover blowing air like a shop-vac in reverse, indicating a huge unnecessary amount of pressure under the cam cover. We feel as if this could be an issue with a cracked head or some malfunction of the head gasket, but are not quite sure. Please help.

"Chemical pregnancy", in pain again, very confused...?

A little over 2 weeks ago, my period had been a week late, I'd been having some funny symptoms, so I took a HPT at night that had a very clear "plus". The next morning, I woke up in a bed full of blood (very very heavy bleeding) and crippling abdominal pain. My husband wanted to take me to the hospital right then and there, but I refused for 3 more days. Finally, I went because the pain wasn't ceasing. At the hospital, they took blood and urine, did an internal exam/pap smear, gave me a external and internal ultrasound, and did a cat scan. Not only did the doctor say they could find nothing wrong, but that I was in fact in excellent health. The only idea he had was I may have experienced a "chemical" pregnancy, which is basically a very very early miscarriage some women can just mistake for a regular period, and all signs of me ever being pregnant would have been gone by the time they ran tests. The pain did eventually subside, and I felt fine last week. Yesterday though, I woke up and my breasts were very sore (I don't actually ever remember them being sore at all, ever, before, I don't get pms bad or anything), and the pain came back as I was walking to work. No bleeding this time though. I have had ovarian cysts rupture and cause similar pain before, but they found no cysts or residual fluid of a ruptured cyst when I was at the hospital, and I seriously doubt one could have grown big enough to rupture and cause immense pain in under 2 weeks. Even if it's hiding from the tests, I just know something is going wrong in my body. The pain is in the lowest part of my abdomen, and it's actually tender to touch. Since I don't feel it's an emergency, and the hospital couldn't help last time, I will be seeing my regular doctor this time. I'm just not understanding what is happening. I'm just looking for some ideas of what might be going on, so I can ask my doctor to test and eliminate it as a possibility or find what's wrong. Anyone else ever experience things like this? I'm 99.99999% sure it has something to do with my female parts malfunctioning, but past cysts or pregnancy, which have been eliminated as causes, I'm not sure what else it could be? And before anyone says it, I DO NOT have a STD (which much to my embarrassment, they routinely test for at the hospital, making me feel like a complete idiot in front of my husband).
