How come I can see his posts on my friends wall...?

I sent this guy a friend request off of my iPhone and for some reason he hadn't accepted. Not only can I see who he becomes friends with but I can see now what he posts on other people walls...I also have no reason why he wouldn't accept it. Did he not get the request or was there a request malfunction? Thanks.
