Custom built pc not displaying.?

Just finished my build, put the power on and everything is spinning up but there is nothing appearing on the display. Getting a single short beep and the user manual says this means a successful boot up. Hd the ram modules out individually and they don't seem to be faulty. Haven't had my graphics card out but is there anything that anyone can suggest would be the problem?
